Indigenous Law Student — Paid Summer Internship

Sequoia Legal believes lawyers representing Indigenous communities can, and should, play a pivotal role in advancing Reconciliation. We are pleased to extend this summer internship opportunity to Indigenous law students across Canada.

Working side-by-side with partners, associates, and staff, your summer will touch on a wide-range of issues facing Indigenous communities. This may include defending and protecting Aboriginal Rights and Title, pursuing economic development opportunities and supporting corporate/commercial work, assisting with multilateral negotiations and drafting agreements, reviewing and implementing bylaws, preparing for litigation, resolving labour and employment issues, and more.

Please forward your CV, cover letter, transcripts, and a writing sample to Ashley Cogswell at ashley@sequoialegal.ca no later than January 31st.
